COMFEE Countertop Dishwasher Review (5 Programs)

4.4 / 5(2,103 ratings)

The COMFEE is a strong mid-range pick. It costs about $25 less than our top pick and gives up very little. The LED display shows cycle time remaining, the child lock works well, and the Normal cycle cleans daily dishes reliably.

  • Slightly louder than Farberware (56 dB)
  • Air dry only, no heated drying

Who it's for

The COMFEE is a good pick for someone who wants reliable cleaning at a lower price. If you don't need a sanitize cycle and don't mind slightly more noise, you'll save $20 to $30 over the Farberware with minimal loss in performance.

It's also a good backup unit if you have a small laundry room or secondary kitchen where you want a second dishwasher without spending top dollar.

Cleaning test results

We ran the same test load as with other models. Baked-on oatmeal, greasy plates, coffee cups, and water glasses. On Normal cycle, about 92% of items came out fully clean. The back row gets a slightly lighter spray than the Farberware, which shows up on stubborn stains in the rear positions.

For daily dishes and light to moderate cooking, this is plenty good. The issue only appears with heavy grease in back-corner positions.

Noise and water use

We measured 56 dB on the Normal cycle. That's noticeable but not disruptive. You'll hear it in the next room but can watch TV without raising the volume. Water use is 3.5 gallons on Normal.

Verdict

The COMFEE earns Best Mid-Range. It's a reliable, well-designed machine at a lower price. If you want the best performance and the quietest cycle, spend a bit more on the Farberware. If you want solid everyday results for less money, the COMFEE is the pick.
